   You’ve started me greeting, (sob, sob)

   It’s well to remember that there is a lot of suffering in this world. But remember too that there are an awful lot of good people out there.

   It does not take much to make a difference to someone’s life for the better.

   Sometimes just being there to hold their hand, or being ready to listen to their voice, to hear their pain, to let them know they are not alone, can make a world of difference to their life.

   Can I pitch in for a donation to the Shortarsed Mechanical Engineer’s Benevolent fund?

   It’s a worthy cause, with all donations going towards a campaign for the reintroduction of platform shoes.

   I was wondering if you could grant my Christmas wish. I recently brought a mobile home and didn’t know that it was falling apart. The ceiling was falling, the foundation needed to be reinforced, the roof needed to be replaced not to mention the exterior needed a lot of work. Well to make a long story short. I have spent all my savings, took money out on credit cards took out personal loans, but I ran out of money and the contractor refuses to finish the job since I can not continue to pay for the work. I need help not only to pay the contractor but to also pay my bills. I have an 11 month old daughter and my husband gets paid very little at work. We are trying our best to make ends meet but it just isn’t enough. I would never ask for help like this but I really need it. Please help my family. All I wanted was to have a nice place for my daughter to grow up.
