I’m surprised that this whole mallarkey hasn’t attracted more comment.
There have been some really scathing commenets and interviews by some of the plods involved in this case. some of them appearing to be way beyond the bounds of what would pass as normal police ‘jargon’ in post case interviews.
I think that the police and indeed the whole community took this whole sorry case very personally. after all, they were the ones out doing the searching and the campaigning, only to later realise that they were having the piss taken, big style.
Not quite your average kidnapping/abduction scenario.
