Moving Home?

by Julie

Do it African style :bakkie

This driver had already travelled from Durban to just outside Johannesburg (over 600 km) without being stopped …. he was more than miffed at being pulled over. Personally, I see no reason for them pulling him over …. apart from the weensie fact that he has an entire household on the back of his bakkie!

  1. I’m absolutely gobsmacked that the car got that far. The fact that he didn’t get stopped by the police for 600km is a bonus.

  2. This is almost an exact replica of me taking my daughter to one of her infamous sleepovers (where suddenly, we are expected to provide not only bedding, but the sodding BED too). She takes more luggage for one night than I take on holiday for two weeks. I have given up asking what I am transporting. It could be crack for all I know, although I am fairly confident that if she can’t even organise her school bag, it’s unlikely that she’d be an efficient drugs mule. Hopefully…

  3. In the UK, this would count as a ‘high-sided’ vehicle

  4. Hi WIB

    Nice to ‘see’ ya

Recently discovered your own blog. (Well ‘discovered’ isn’t quite accurate – I followed a link to it from Bruce Hood’s site.) And love the stuff you put up.

Hope to see you in the Cafe again

    Cheers

    Duncan

  10. The best of all is …. this guy was planning on making his way to Malawi
