- The Pope
- Josef Fritzl
These are people the Magazine thinks we should feel least sympathy for.
Gordon Brown comes is in at No 10 just behind Israeli politician Benjamin Netahanyahu (at No. 9).
Pakistan’s President Zardari was placed at No 5 because, said the magazine -
“Zardari was known to be a bad guy long before he became Pakistan’s president. Many of the closest friends of his late wife, Benazir, could not stand him. Now, as it turns out, neither can most of the Pakistani people. He’s on the ropes, his opposition is gaining strength, and meanwhile fraught, dangerous, complex Pakistan is hardly being governed at all.”
Josef Fritzl, who locked his daughter in a cellar and fathered seven children with her. is named No 1 loser.
The surprise choice for No 2 loser (well perhaps not that surprising really given his recent pronouncements) is the Pope – who according to the magazine is – “. . . out of touch with the real world” and his papacy is “a disaster.”
