  5. A pretty accurate description of my day yesterday

  6. 1 1/2 hours to go before I go on a few days leave – I’m just preparing my office for when I’m not here.

Just pasted a sign onto the shredding machine next to my desk :

    “INBOX”

  7. Where is everyone?

  8. BOO to you too

  9. Everyone has my permission to get totally slammed over this weekend … b/f became a granddad today … and I’ve sworn blind I will NOT sleep next to a granddaddy

  10. Is me on hols …. whooppeee deedooo da day ….

  11. WHAT?

I’m far too young to be any kind of GRANNY!!!!

  12. If you say so, dear

Have you started knitting bootees for your ‘almost step-grandchild’?

  13. Psssst ….. get Wee Rab off the furniture

  14. Sshhh !!!

You weren’t supposed to tell anyone about that

  15. Moi? Knit? Wassat? ;-)

  16. Oooops … sorry …. pretend I didn’t say it

  17. ‘S allright – I don’t think anyone noticed

  18. I’ll swop you ….

Wee Rab for a maltese that believes he’s the re-incarnation of Houdini

  19. P.S. you might find this comes in handy now that you’re an ‘almost step-granny’

  20. GRRRRRRRRR

I am NOT the knitting kind …. I’d rather do stripping

  21. congratulations nana julie

  22. Phsssssssssssssssst orrrf …..

  23. Wee Rab’s trick is not so much escaping from places but the opposite – breaking in.

Anytime he sees the slightest gap in a fence he wriggles through it.

There’s a sports club in the street where we live and the cricket ground abuts on to the park. The wee bugger keeps wriggling through gaps in the fence – which isn’t a problem at 3am in the morning when there’s no-one but me in the park but it’s bloody embarrassing when he does it when they’re actually playing a game

  24. Did you just mention CRICKET Duncs?

  25. Have you decided what you want the wean to call you – granny, gran, or the more formal grandmother?

  26. I might have done – in a sort of round about, by the way, hardly worth mentioning, kind of fashion!!!

  27.

Blackmail time begins ……… I am in posession of a couple of photos of a certain little wee doggie doing things he shouldn’t be doing ………..

I AM TOO YOUNG TO BE ANYONE’S GRANNY …. geddit? ;-)

  28. The word CRICKET, in any form is no longer allowed here!

(and if Nobbles DARE come here and mention the fact that we were just slaughtered by 141 runs … I will personally buy an aeroplane ticket and come and bash his knees in … particularly considering the fact that it was a ONE DAY game  )

  29. Think positive Julie – you’ll be able to enter ‘glamorous granny’ competitions now.

Might even have a chance of winning

  30. grandma we love you, grandma we do ….

Mrs t ‘ll give you some tips ;)

  31. AAAAAAAAAAAAAArgh …. I thought I was amongst friends … I’ll never be the same again …..

  32. You’ll soon get the hang of it, Julie

  33. THAT’S IT!!!! I’m dumping b/f …… ;-)

  34. Now don’t be hasty, Julie

Wait until you’ve got that diamond ring – and then dump him

  35. Now there’s a thought …. why didn’t I think of that?

  36. Being serious for a moment – have you seen your new ‘almost step-grandchild’ ?

Is it a boy or a girl?

It’s important to know these things before you start knitting those bootees !!!

  37. No, I haven’t seen HIM yet …. he’s only a few hours old ….. we’ll see him tomorrow …. and HE won’t be getting any new bootees

  38. has b/f been ‘wetting the babies head’ ?

  39. NO … but I have

  40. B/f’s got the grumps at the mo … told him I’m cutting my hair off in the morning ….

  41. … grannies don’t have long hair

  42. Good idea!

You could use your shorn locks to knit a little mohair type cardigan for the little bokkie

  43. Julie, you can probably qualify for one of these now….

    http://madhatters.me.uk/2009/04/03/cornish-pensioner-does-speed/

You could use it to get to cricket matches.

  44. Good evening folks, folkesses and grandma’s……

  45. Evening, Nobbly – Chippy

You’ve heard the news then – our little Julie has become a sort of GRANNY !!!
