My Old Place

by duncanr

cc3-300No 2 son came round earlier this evening.

Amongst other reasons for the visit, he wanted to show me and Mrs D a web site he’d stumbled upon.

The web site – as far as I can tell – is all about folk submitting photos of abandoned/derelict buildings etc.

What had caught his attention were some pics of a place where Mrs D and I used to work.

The company went bust about 5 years ago and the site has been derelict since then.

There are several photos posted on the website. I’ve picked out 2 to put up here.

The first pic shows Mrs D’s old office (she was the Sales Manager)

The second pic – if anyone’s interested – is my old office (where all the Production Planning went on)

  1. I’ve seen this website before…

No1 son showed it to me some time ago, as it listed the old asylum, just outside Huddersfield that was next door to his halls of residence in his first year at uni.

Him and his mates used to go arsing about in there at night.

  2. That production planning must have been thirsty work!

Do I detect traces of white beard adhering to the edges of some of those cans of fizzo?

  3. Good Gosh Dunc…..didn’t your Mum or your wife teach you to take the trash out! Is that how you worked??

  4. You also responsible for the gang graffitti Duncan? Office gangs are can be rough business. The “bloods” and “crips” have nothing on the “execs” and “sales”.

  5. It’s thirsty work – thinking, and planning !!!

  6. Duncan I wish I had your old job
