A 25yr old student in Leicester was walking along the street – minding his own business, and eating a hamburger.
He was approached by two drunks. One grabbed the burger from him and took a bite out of it. The other punched him in the face, knocking him to the ground.
The police decided not to charge the man who threw the punch but to prosecute the man who nicked the burger.
Yesterday, 18yr old William Smithers was sentenced to 8 months in jail for taking a bite out of the burger while his mate who threw the punch escaped with a caution.
