Breakfast on the Bridge

Sydney Harbour Bridge was closed to traffic this morning for a picnic

Overnight, 10,620 sq m of turf was laid down on the bridge and around 6,000 folk chosen from 190,000 applicants ate breakfast on the bridge.

The picnic on the bridge marked the start of a month long festival in the city

The event was so well supported that Premier Nathan Rees said it would likely become an annual event.
