I’ve got a sneaky admiration for a nanny employed by a wealthy family in Bangalore to look after their 7 month old son while they were at work.
As soon as the parents left for work she dressed him in rags and hired him out to beggars to help them augment their earnings by increasing public sympathy for their plight. She then settled down to a trouble-free day in front of the TV and scoffing stuff from the fridge.
Her scam was uncovered when the mother returned early from work one day to find
nanny = 1
baby = 0
Hhmm, given that many women who would like to return to work are put off by the high cost of child-care, this nanny’s scam offers a possible solution.
Rather than see babies as a financial burden, view them as an untapped economic resource.
Cut out the middle men (nannies) and hire the little bleeders direct to your local beggars – make the buggers earn their keep !!!
