If you live in Cambridge, beware of getting into an argument with anyone from the Council – you could end up in jail.
Thomas Catcheside, 67, lost his temper with a bloke from the council who came round to discuss his plea for an internal stairway to be replaced. In the heated exchange that followed, Mr Catcheside used the ‘F’ word.
He thought no more of it until the police came round to his house at 5:35 a.m. Nov. 5 – arrested him, fingerprinted him, took a DNA sample, and held him in a cell for six hours before issuing him with a fixed-penalty fine for “causing harassment, alarm or distress in a public place”
Fuck me Goodness gracious, one would have thought the officers would have had rather more pressing matters to attend to !!!

If this is true and accurate (although I see that the original report is from the Daily Wail… spits on floor), then it is indeed a sad state of affairs.
If it isn’t true, then it is possibly an even more sad indictment of the state that the bloody country is in.
