We are currently under ’severe storm warning’ ….. where I don’t know, there isn’t a cloud in the sky at the moment, and it’s becoming hotter and more humid by the minute. When I complain it’s hot and humid, then you must know, it’s unbearable.
B/f is currently sitting on the bed trying to repair the fan that he …. errrr …. broke last night when he …. errr …. couldn’t sit up straight anymore (another story ). The aircon is STILL sitting in the flat waiting to be installed by handyman b/f and his buddy ….. I’m going to start throwing my toys around soon ….
Dear weatherman on TV last night said “Residents of Jhb and Pretoria, if you are planning a braai for tomorrow, I suggest you cancel it, if you see a storm approaching, remain indoors” I’m waiting ………
As for THAT singing of the national anthem, well … I could take up this entire page with what I think of it!
If it was a ‘tactical’ move on the part of those frogs, well then they certainly succeeded … I wont take anything away from their game, because they played brilliantly, and we lost to a better team. BUT FFS FROGGIES …. please get someone who can damnwell sing our national anthem!
Granted, I’m not a very good singer of our own national anthem (I never sing it anyway) …. I only know the Afrikaans words, and some of the English ones. Let me just point out that by the time this stoned dude got to the Afrikaans words, he didn’t have one of them in tune, pronounced properly and put his own words in certain places ….. no wonder Schalkie looked like he wanted to deck him!
Julie, that ‘rendition’ was truly an insult to your nation; just listened to the recording found by nobbly, on behalf of rugby supporters everywhere, sorry…

Ok, all the people to the left …. wambamboogy …..

Thank You Dave, that’s very kind of you. xxx
I must say, I’ve learnt something new. I never realised that the host nation were the ones that picked who sings the opposing team’s national anthem!
November 14, 2009 at 6:28 pm
Never mind, Julie.
The French get what they deserve, eventually….
November 14, 2009 at 6:43 pm
Bloody Brilliant! I just love him!
November 14, 2009 at 5:52 pm

November 14, 2009 at 6:08 pm
I just found some more stuff about national anthems, to keep y’all amused.

Will listen in the morning as halfway through a CD, The Penguin Cafe Orchestra, and ‘er would not be happy if I paused it!
