A homeless woman created a luxury ‘pad’ on a busy city roundabout in Derby
Using tents, sun loungers, car batteries and a gazebo which she found in waste tips, Sharon Simpson built a ‘des res’ complete with solar shower and satellite TV.
‘It was lovely’, she said. ‘There were times when I just sat in the tent watching EastEnders and CBeebies,’
Sharon lived there with her boyfriend but the arrival of Autumn and the fall of leaves from the trees ruined her privacy.
The council is now trying to find her alternative accomodation
