And God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply” and fill the earth (Genesis)

And Michelle and Jim Bob Dugger heard the word of God and did go forth and begin multiplying.

They’ve got a way to go yet before they ‘fill the earth’ but they’re working on it !!!

Thursday evening Michelle was delivered of a little girl, Josie Brooklyn, weighing one pound, six ounces by an emergency C-Section – bringing the number of little Duggers to 19.

  1. I’m amazed that she needed a c-section. After dropping 18 previous sprogs, things must be so much like a wizard’s sleeve that the latest foetus must have needed pitons and ropes just to stay where it was.

  2. I agree nobbly. Perhaps the section was because of the scrap becoming distressed at hanging in there. God willing one of the surgeons ‘accidentally’ cut her Fallopian tubes as an act of charity to the world.

Early signs of sibling rivalry though, the dot on father’s knee looks really impresssed with events whilst the one sitting on the bed has a very weird look on his visage.

  3. 1 lb 6 ozs? that’s a seriously small baby

  4. That baby should be dead…. no I am not a baby-hater but babies born below 3 pounds are in serious trouble. At the least, there is going to be brain damage.
Looks like she landed a 7 pounder to me.

  5. Holy moly mary!

And I thought with three strapping offspring (well two are strapping so far) …. I’d done my bit for mankind …. I’m a bit behind here!

That woman must have a serious ‘baby belly’

  6. I feel Josie Brooklyn Dugger will be perfectly fine. I believe God is protecting that little one. Tiny babies do survive and do quite well. I know a family who had triplets and the little girl weighted 1# 9 oz. and she is almost 10 and absolutely perfect. Don’t count Josie out just yet. Keep Praying
