’tis fucking freezing here in the office this morning – and there’s only me here, so no one to moan at.
DaveH has asked me to apologise for his lack of merry festive computer based interaction. Or put another way – his computer is shagged.
Well, it may not be his computer, but he just can’t manage to get it up during this cold weather (the wordpress ‘add comment’ box, that is).
Maybe the WP festive humour police have taken exception to his series of xmas related rants, and have gagged him?

I had our office Xmas party on Friday…..I think I may have had just a wee, little, too much……just a TAD too much….however, a good time was had by all.

Working from home – I have to organise my own office party.
I’m holding it tomorrow starting 2pm in the kitchen before moving on to the living room. Aim to finish around 10pm Thursday

It was suspected that he was agw posting under another name. Certainly not many other people would have been allowed to have been as openly racist, homophbic, and generally foul-mouthed and abusive as GG was without being blocked.
Personally, I too would have liked to have met him in real life – it would have given me the opportunity to hit him with a brick, and then to have kicked him while he was down – I detested the character, whether he was real or imaginary.

I don’t know for certain that GG was agw; it was justa rumour that was doing the rounds. However, the fact that GG could say what he liked with impunity, while others got blocked for voicing their opinions certainly reinforced that argument as far as I was concerned.
I won’t offer my opinion of agw here, as I don’t think it would be particularly helpful.

Ok, unloading time for me AGAIN …….
This year couldn’t get ANY worse … could it?
I have a friend who is ‘missing’. I am hitting my head against brick walls everywhere trying to find him! Situation is this :
‘A’ (I’ll call him this because I dont yet know what has happened to him) owns two interlink trucks. On 30 October he travelled to Angola with both trucks (and two brand new drivers), the reason he travelled with the trucks was the new drivers, who he didn’t trust with 4 million ZAR worth of trucks overboarder. He was married to a Russian girl, and he left money with her to pay his rent, electricity & maintenance for the month of November. Now unfortunately, his darling little wife decided to duck back to Russia within a day of him leaving, along with all the money he’d left her.
As he’s such a good friend of ours, he contacted us and asked us to please pay all his November debts, because he didn’t want to get in arrears with all the payments. Because we know him so well, we did this.
Since the middle of November we’ve been unable to contact him, he should have returned home by no later than the end of November… he’s still not back! I have got hold of his cell phone company, they refuse to co-operate. I have got hold of his truck’s satellite tracking company, they refuse to co-operate. And WHY? Because I dont have a police missing persons case number! Why dont I have this? Because the fugging police wont accept my missing person report, simply because I am not direct family! He has a sister and a daughter that live close by here, but I dont know how to contact them! (At this stage they probably dont even know there’s something wrong as they had very little contact with him).
I have already contacted numerous people that he is friends with, no-one has heard from him!.
My next move tomorrow is to contact the chief of police in our area, and demand that he accept a missing person report from me. I need that case number to be able to do anything!
Some of you know that I worked for an organisation that finds missing people (I can say this openly now, because I had to give it up for mental reasons – the stress became too much for me – yeah I’m a woosie I know, but sometimes one can only handle finding so many dead children). The ‘organisation’ are more than willing to help me, but unfortunately ONLY with the police case number! How the hell do I get this?
This is not going to be an easy one! I found numerous missing children/people – but this is different! We’re dealing with an overboarder case here, and quite frankly, to this point – no-one gives a damn!
As I say, next step tomorrow …. I WILL get a case number (even if I have to pay for it into some willing government employee’s christmas fund! !!).
My biggest fear is that I waited too long ….. but I kept hoping he’d rock up on our doorstep with his Harley … he hasn’t ….. something has happened …. I need to find out where he is!
What is frustrating me to the ends of the earth and back, is I CAN and KNOW how to find missing people, yet I cant find my own friend ……
Holy hell …. 2009 is going to go out with a bang on my side …….

Oh dear Julie, is it possible to get his mail? If so check his mobile phone bill, it should list all the numbers he has rung and from where.

OK, being in the media the first thing I would do is ring the talk back radio shows. I’m not sure how good your talk back radio shows are in SA but over here they will investigate on your behalf. Nothing like a phone call from the media to get the truck’s satellite tracking company to co-operate
