Twenty years ago I took some shots of a homeless man in a cardboard box just outside the big gate to the White House – the one where tourists queue up to go in. My camera was confiscated by the security people on gate duty. I did get it back later minus the film, but the camera had been broken. “Yes it’s OK to take a photo like that but not outside the White House, thankyou Ma’am.”
Be a bit less obvious these days with camera phones. -
