Things were a bit quiet and the uniformed lads at Coomera police station were bored.
Knowing that undercover detectives were staking out a local pharmacy hoping to catch some rapscallions who had been targeting chemists, they decided it would be a wizard wheeze to wind the tecs up by dressing as bad guys and pretending to rob the joint.
As expected, the detectives gave chase – and oh what a caper it was, and afterwards everyone had a jolly good laugh when the ‘robbers’ were cornered and unmasked as some of the local uniformed branch.
