       Oh, I couldn’t explain that here … it’s a very vulgar Afrikaans word which means that daddy is lower than shark shit, etc. etc.

       (Directly translated it means a ‘box’)

         Yes, doos is the word I meant, but apart from referring to the female sex organ as a kitty cat type thing (any guy that refers to mine as such can be guaranteed of a back hander right across the chops!!), calling someone a doos also insinuates that they’re a crappy piece of gutter shite (it’s a very derogatory term to call someone).

         doos – idiot (more likely an “asshole” or “cunt”; can also mean “female genitalia”) (profanity). For example: “Rory Da Costa is the biggest doos to walk the planet!” From the Afrikaans word for box (rude).

   I recall my mum waterboarding me when I was a kid.

   She used to call it ‘washing my hair’, but I knew what it was all about…. hell yes.

   But I held firm, and still wouldn’t eat some of that greeny vegetablish shite that she tried to force down me, no matter how many time my hair needed washing.

     My mum employed chemical weapons against me when I was a wean. First sneeze, sniffle and she brought out the basin of hot water, the Vic, and a towel to make a kinda tent over the basin. She’d then drag me by the ears, screaming and kicking, and thrust my head underneath the towel – a firm hand on the back of my neck to prevent me escaping. In vain would I try to hold my breathe as long as possible to avoid breathing in the noxious fumes designed to clear nasal passages. . . . Bitch !!!

       The Sun represents the ‘life force’ and my previous gravatar of a ‘setting sun’ symbolized Anita’s impending demise.

       Now that she has lost her long battle against the cancer I feel I need a new gravatar. I have one in mind but haven’t settled on an appropriate image yet so this one is a stop gap.

       The ‘blackface is a totally non PC-correct ‘gollywog’. Specifically, it is a Robertson Gollywog – used to appear on all jars of Robertson jams.

       As you know, the ‘r’ in duncanr refers to my surname ‘robertson’. We bought the Robertson gollywog on our honeymoon many years ago. The teddy belonged to Anita when she was a child. She wanted it to be cremated with her but I couldn’t bear (no pun intended) to part with it

     fyi.. I knew you were being flippant.. and I’d ( DF, that is) never in a million years carry an automatic or semi-automatic weapon.. and of course I wouldn’t contemplate shooting anything alive!

     I don’t know about your avatar… it is a tad creepy, if truth be told!! Though I’ve read your reason and understand.
