The BBC has lost it’s court battle to prevent an autobiography being published that would reveal the identity of The STIG.
Turns out it is Ben Collins, a Formula 3 driver.

the driver – The Stig – that test-drives the fast cars being discussed has up till now been a ‘mystery’. (Not much of a mystery, I have to say – I’ve seen his name bandied about many a time.) 
Anyhow, now that he has officially unmasked himself, it seems many of the fans of the show are calling for him to be sacked because he has spoilt the show for them.
