Part of the fun on April 1st is spotting the ‘fake’ news stories printed in the press as a joke.
On my way to work this morning I heard one of my local radio presenters being caught out on air reporting a story in all seriousness only to be reminded by his co-presenters of the date (the item that caught him out? A story about special new zimmer frames fitted with skateboard attachments to increase the mobility of old folk) 
Here’s one I spotted – a story in the Telegraph about a new perfume that smells like a wet dog so owners can be reminded of their pet while separated from them during the day
