  1. sorry for the crappy quality of the photo, but it was early morning up on the moor, and the light was dreadful.

    ….and the camera

……..and the ability of the bloke using it

  2. …and in this one, the cat was putting me off, but you can still see the spaniel nature of these damn aliens

….and have you ever tried getting two aliens to both look at the camera at the same time?

  3. Close encounters of the doggy kind.

  4. Great pics, Nobbly – looks like you had a a bit more snow than we did down here

  5. Take me to your lead …er.

  6. How do aliens pronounce the ‘gh’ in ‘Aaaargh’?

    • The same way a scouser would pronounce the ‘k’ in Birkenhead.

      • Forgive my ignorance of UK dialects, but I’d like to know:
Wha’ are diffrences ‘tween how duncan, knobbly, ratty, julie ‘n a scouser say ‘ghuk aaargh’ ?

        • How much time have you got?

Duncan is a Scot, I’m (even without a leading ‘k’) a semi-Scot with no trace of a Scots’ accent, but who’s partial scouse has been replaced with a dreadful tinge of Oldham, Ratty is a proud Cornishman now resident in Morocco (so gawd only knows what he sounds like) and Julie if from Johannesburg and of Welsh lineage (so she has the strangest UK accent of all).

Fids some youtube clips of Stan Boardman or John Bishop if you want to hear a scouser in full flow, but Birkenhead is generally pronounced as

BairChErNedd (with the ch as a ‘clearing your throat’ sort of sound)

  7. That looks a lot like my pets.

  8. It’s not you is it, ratty? If it is, get that silly Darth Vader mask off! (Bet you’re still wearing your stockings and sussies, though….)
