Watched by family and friends as well as the Lord Mayor of London, a record 567 cadets became new police officers at the annual Passing Out Parade at Hendon Police Training College in London.
While it will have been an occasion to look back on with pride for most of those ‘Passing Out’, for the dozen or so new officers who passed out during the Passing Out Parade – though the temperature was only 19 degrees C -it will be recalled with a certain amount of embarrassment.
The good news, though, is residents of London can feel a lot safer in their beds knowing there are 567 extra police officers out there to protect them – well as long as the temperature doesn’t rise above 19 degrees C
