Bill Johnson resigned just a few hours after taking up the position of Duke Energy CEO
For those few hours of work he is now entitled to claim $44 million
[Well that should tide him over for a bit till he finds a new job]

It was because he was the CEO of the company they bought. I think his severance had to do with his time there not the one day he worked for Duke. Though it is still outrageous package….unless it was offered to me.
