There is one problem with the BMI though–it doesn’t take skeletal structure into account. For example, at 6 feet, 3 inches tall, I’m supposed to weigh between 180 and 200 pounds, according to the BMI. I’ve weighed that much before, and I was grossly underweight. Because I have a very large frame (skeletal structure), and this makes a very big difference. I should not weigh less than 210 pounds.
