So the 3 arseholes amigos – Dave, Nick, and Ed – have agreed on a Royal Charter to regulate the Press in the UK (http://tinyurl.com/cl9256g)
Hip, hip, hooray !
One small point, though, before we all go jumping for joy.
Who are . . .these 3 tosspots political leaders referring to when they talk about regulating the Press?
Perhaps, there is a definition to be found in the proposed charter?
Oh yes, there it is in Schedule 4 – http://i.imgur.com/7AwoROS.gif
Fuck!
That definition is so broad and the offending activities so worded that anyone who posts an opinion on facebook, twitter, or a blog that someone takes exception to is at risk of financial penalties or worse
Thankfully, the WordPress servers that host Madhatters are located in the USA and not the UK and the majority of our visitors reside outwith the UK so we might get away with arguing that our occasional keen political analysis and erudite commentary on the shenanigans of these wankers members of Parliament is intended mainly for our foreign readership?
To be on the safe side, though, we may have to flag up those posts UK residents should not read. So if you reside in the UK and see this symbol – (http://i.imgur.com/7MqhBMa.jpg) – at the head of a post – - read no further. Skip on to the next post. Those disparaging remarks about politicians, priests, business leaders, and celebrities are not for your eyes!
