Balotelli Balls Up
Remember back In March 2011, we posted a vid showing Mario Balotelli struggling to put on a bib (see here if you missed it – http://tinyurl.com/4xll4jx)
Seems the gormless buffoon is not much better on the field than off.
With only the goalie to beat, he tried to show off with a fancy back-heel. All he succeeded in doing, however, was show all watching that he is a clown – missing the goal completely, and enraging the manager to such an extent that he was hauled off the field immediately after.

That Football Feeling
A football match between a bunch of 14yr old Danish kids will long be remembered by those who took part.
Unbeknown to the kids, a Danish ‘Improv Everywhere’ style group decided to surprise the kids by making the game seem like a championship final – bringing along spectators, avid fans, cheerleaders, a marching band, vendors, sports journalists, and Fifa registered referee Klaus bo Larsen to officiate

What next for Ingaland ?
The Nigerian President, Goodluck Jonathan, has suspended the National team from competing in any international competitions for the next 2 years.
This follows Nigeria’s dismal performance in the World Cup currently being staged by Fifa in South Africa
The President hopes to use the next two years to reorganise the sport in Nigeria and improve on the quality of the players and team.
Hhmm, this is perhaps a move other countries who’s players turned in such piss-poor performances might do well to consider ?

England Goal – Fail
All those England fans who shelled out good money so they could watch the World Cup on an HDTV are no doubt feeling sick as a parrot now.
Not only did England fail to beat the USA, but they didn’t even get to see England’s goal ‘live’
ITV HD channel cut away from the game to broadcast an advert. When it cut back to the game, they found the score was England 1 USA 0

Cabanga
Sounds a bit like desperation to me – clutching at straws even, but then England need all the help they can get if they are to win the World Cup in South Africa.
Scientist have been looking at the motivational effectiveness of various football chants and have found the most effective in lifting a player’s spirits and improving their performance on the field are short simple chants with 3 syllables.
They recommend England players and supporters chant a word like ‘Cabanga’ – a zulu word meaning ‘imagine’.
Hhmm, remind me – how many syllables are there in ‘Ing-er-land’ (the way supporters generally chant ‘England’ at matches) ?
