Octomom aka Nadya Suleman aka Octopussy (still don’t understand why the MadHatters’ preferred name for Suleman never caught on in the USA?) has agreed an outstanding workers compensation claim against the state of California.
The claim stems from an injury she sustained at work in 1999 . . .
When she gave birth to octuplets, Nadya Suleman became known around the world as “Octomom”.

Latest news is that Octopussy is facing eviction from her home after falling behind with the mortgage payments – she needs $450,000 to avoid losing her house.
The future is not completely bleak, however. An “adult entertainment” company has offered to pay off her debt if she agrees to make a movie with them
Suleman once said “the Lord will provide” when asked how – as a single parent with no job – she would support such a large family (she has 14 kids in all).
With the porn offer, it seems the Lord does indeed move in mysterious way !!!
Following fertitlity treatment, Nadya Suleman gave birth to octuplets in Los Angeles, California, thereby earning herself the nickname ‘Octomom’ – or as we in MadHatters prefer to describe her ‘Octopussy’
Now comes news that a woman in Tunisia is expecting 12 babies after receiving fertility treatment -
“If the babies are delivered successfully, the Tunisian woman would become the first ever mother of duodecaplets and beat the record of eight children in one birth.”
The couple are delighted with the news. The expectant mother said -
‘All I want to do is hug my babies and show them all my love. This is a miracle.’
while the father said -
‘In the beginning, we thought that my wife would give birth to twins but as more foetuses were discovered. Our joy increased with the growing number.’
British doctors, however, have expressed fears that such a large number of babies are unlikley to survive
Nadya Suleman, the unemployed single mother of six children who recently gave birth to octuplets following IVF treatment has filed an application seeking to patent the nickname ‘Octomom‘.
It is understood she wishes to use the name as a ‘trademark’ to market items like disposable diapers,
A rival patent claim on the use of the term ‘octomom’, however, has been filed by a Texas company – Super Happy Fun Fun.
The company has developed a Fertile Myrtle game that requires players to “press down on Fertile Myrtle’s swollen belly, and another adorable bundle of joy will be brought into the world.”
Each extra baby earns welfare money, with bonuses given for birthing in front of the paparazzi
If Nadya is unsuccessful in patenting the term ‘octomom’ can I suggest an alternative ?
How about – Octopussy ?

A mother in America has been given permission by the courts to collect the sperm from her dead son, because she wants him to ‘live on’. The courts have ordered the medical examiner to hold the mans body in an appropriate environment while his mother tries to find a doctor who’s willing to collect the sample. She should give Ms Suleman’s physician a call!

Nadya Suleman is not going to win any mum of the year contest. Initial goodwill and well wishes towards her on the birth of her octuplets rapidly gave way to resentment and ill-feeling when it became known that she ws already the mother of 6 children born through IVF treatment and that she was a single woman with no apparent means of supporting her large family.
Her blithe assurance that ‘God would provide’ served only to turn that resentment into hostility when families struggling to make ends meet during the current dire economic climate realised that ‘God’ in this context was them – the U.S. taxpayer.
That ‘hostility’ has now apparently spawned acts of violence against Ms Suleman’s property.
In the latest incident, someone smashed the window of her car – parked outside her house – by throwing a baby seat through it, before driving off in a white van.
In response to this and earlier incidents Ms Suleman has hired a team of Security Guards to protect herself, her family, and her property.

Her first publicist, Joann Killeen, quit after receiving an avalanche of hate mail and death threats.
Now Victor Munoz, who replaced Joann Killeen as Nadya Suleman‘s publicist has resigned from the post,citing ‘personal reasons’ and claiming that -
“Nadya got real greedy. This woman is nuts”
It is understood Mr Munoz is meeting with his lawyers with a view to examining the small print of his contract – in particular, those clauses relating to the Confidentiality Agreement he signed with Ms Suleman.
Nadya Suleman, 33 year old unemployed mother of 14 children, is broke.
She has been dependent on food stamps and disability payments in order to care for her eldest 6 children.
She and her 6 children have been living with her parents. Now the family are in anger of losing their home for defaulting on the morgage payments.
Not surprisingly, there have been questions asked as to how she is going to care for another 8 children.
There is now some doubt as to whether the hospital will release the octuplets to Nadya without better evidence that she is equipped to care for them.
It is not all doom and gloom for Nadya, however. There may be a light at the end of the tunnel – a saviour by the name of Steven Hirsch. He is chairman of Vivid Entertainment and has allegedly offered Nadya $1m to appear in a porn movie.
She could certainly do with the money
