A previous post in Madhatters (see http://tinyurl.com/d7zj2r3) drew attention to a ‘living art’ exhibition in the Ukraine’s National Art Museum in Kiev, in which 5 glamorous woman played the part of a sleeping beauty.
Visitors were invited to try and awaken the girls with a kiss – the catch being that they had to sign a contract beforehand promising to marry her if their kiss awoke her from her slumber
Well, the sleeping beauty is now awake. Rather conveniently, the kiss that awoke her was not from a man, but a woman. I say conveniently, because . . .

Opposition to such marriages is generally on religious grounds – that only a marriage between a man and a woman is acceptable in the eyes of God
Wait, that’s not quite true – the Catholic Church recognizes marriage between women and mystical beings. Nuns are often referred to as ‘brides of christ’ and many wear a gold band similar to a wedding ring to symbolise that holy union. No doubt this is a blasphemous thought but if women (nuns) forego earthly pleasures to devote themselves to the service of God why are not men (priests) who do likewise not viewed as husbands of Christ?

Gays and lesbians can now serve openly in the US Military but their ‘same-sex’ marriages or long-term relationships with their partner are yet to achieve the same recognition and acceptance as that of heterosexual couples – as the following vid illustrates
