The Opening Ceremony of the 2012 Olympic Games in London have been hailed a huge success by just about everybody.

I say ‘just about everybody’ ‘cos I thought it was self-indulgent shite. To be fair though, I didn’t watch the whole 3.12 hrs (I have a very low boredom threshold) – just dipped in for a few moments every now and again as I flicked channels on the remote. Given the universal acclaim for the extravaganza, I obviously missed the good bits !

Fortunately for my sanity, at least one other person apparently shared my opinion of the opening ceremony – http://postimage.org/image/5g386chz9/

Now that the Games are underway, our screens will be dominated by coverage of the Olympics. For those, like me, who are not particularly interested in the Games there is a handy little browser extension (for Chrome, Firefox, and Safari) that will block any mention of the Olympics – see http://fffff.at/olwimpics/
