Summer’s here, and the time is right for ….

by NobblySan

I’m sorry, but bollocks to dancing in the street.

What could be better than going to a musical festival, having a few drinks and then putting up your tent?

Well, going to a music festival, putting up your tent and then having a few drinks would make life a bit easier. Although, I’m not sure that the crowd of onlookers would have had such a good laugh.

  1. The heading to this article would have had a greater visual impact if the author had obeyed the rules of typography and employed a three-point leader, instead of pressing the full stop key to the point of exhaustion.

Secondly, the sub-heading “Two drunk guys trying to setting up a tent” actually prompts the reader to question whether the two inebriated ‘guys’ are attempting to set up a tent, or whether they are in the process of doing so.

It gives me great no pleasure in pointing out these glaring mistakes, but standards do have to be upheld.

    (Revenge is sweet !)

  2. Being but a simple mechanical engineer, I have two questions :-

    1. What the fuck is a three-point leader?

    2. Like your good self, I deplore the use of the term ‘guys’ to refer to what are obviously ‘blokes’, but why blame me for the lack of literacy of the guy bloke who posted the video?

    • 1. A three-point leader is a term used in the Graphic Arts Industry to indicate to a reader that there is more to follow, hence, “leader.” This is symbolized by the appearance of three dots, more commonly referred to as “points” (. . .) ffs !

      2. The attempt to transfer blame to a third party in order to absolve oneself of any responsibility is an act below contempt.

      Your pal, ratty

  3. Dancing?
