Trump as Toilet Bowl

I took one look at Anish Kapoor’s art installation Descension in Brooklyn Bridge Park in New York City and thought, “Wow, that looks like the swirling, sucking butthole that is American politics.”

Turns out, I was right.

“We didn’t make it,” Kapoor said of Descension to a baffled press junket. Gesturing to a worker, he says, “Jesse over there dug a hole and we discovered it.”

Oh, Kapoor, you silly, you needn’t have grabbed a shovel. Our shit isn’t buried like treasure, it’s everywhere, like diarrhea splatter. You can’t go two steps in this country without encountering the sight and stench of the Toddler Cheeto’s reign of terror who, like all infants, is fascinated with the contents of his own diaper and is prone to decorating his walls with it. I mean, our walls.

Now, people may remonstrate me for my heavy allusions to assassination-as-solution because, come on, he’s a toddler. You shouldn’t off children. And I say, “The Omen.”
