[‘scheme’ is a word used in scotland in place of the english word ‘estate’, e.g., housing scheme instead of housing estate]

The Scheme was a BBC Scotland documentary series following families living in one housing scheme in Kilmarnock

strangely, unlike the producers of the documentary featured in my previous post who felt . . .

viewers needed subtitles to understand the liverpudlian accent, BBC Scotland did not think viewers needed any such help to make sense of the scottish accent and dialect
