when guests at a Japanese inn in Hakone remove their hotel-provided slippers, they roll away – [the slippers, not the guests] – and park themselves neatly in a row

similarly, when guests are preparing to sit at the traditional low tables, floor cushions – [to comfort sensitive posteriors} – wheel themselves into place automatically

all part of a campaign by Nissan to promote its self-parking vehicle technology
