Something for the Weekend – N0 304

by duncanr

‘in Scottish folklore, an ‘each-uisge’ is a creature that takes the form of a horse when living in rivers or lochs but changes into that of a handsome man when on the land, and in that guise seduces young women and carries them off to his realm under the water – never to be seen again

in this song , a young woman, captured by an each-uisge, begs him to release her and let her return to her family
