2018 Cheese Chasing Competitors

by duncanr

Cooper’s Hill in the Cotswolds, south west England, is the site of an annual competition in which folk hurl themselves down – [staying on their feet is not an option] – the 200 metre, steep 1:2 gradient slope in pursuit of a 4kg round of cheese rolled from the top of the hill to the bottom

the cheese can achieve a speed of 40+ mph(65 km/h) – [the folk, not so much] – and reaches the bottom in better shape than its pursuers
