this helicopter tour of Canada was produced to mark the Canadian Centennial in 1967

I love the narrator’s style . . .

  1. Observations:

    1. Nobody needs yodeling music first thing in the morning. You’re a sadist, Duncan.
    2. Guns don’t deter Americans. Just tell them there are no carbs past your border.
    3. What sort of pasty old honkey pronounces it “New-fan-LAND”? It’s Newfunlun. What a square.
    4. Lobster for $2 a pound?! When was this film shot, 1939?
    5. Letting children narrate geologic footage is like letting Republicans peruse climate change data: They have no fucking clue what they’re looking at.
    6. For a Canadian film, this sure does have a lot of emphases on industry, terrorizing wildlife from a helicopter, and sports. You sure this isn’t America?
