if you’ve got an hour to spare, this is a lovely documentary about 3 artists, and the city of Glasgow, commemorating the Big Yin’s 75th birthday a couple of years ago. . .

  1. I didn’t quite make it through this without crying. I couldn’t help feeling these people were saying goodbye to him. And I’m solidly reminded what a worthless waste my life has been.

      I know what you mean

      I felt the same way – especially towards the end of the documentary when the camera caught him slowly shuffling off the stage at the end of a performance, then weakly raising an arm to wave goodbye

      my whisky was diluted with a tear or two at the symbolism of that scene
