Edinburgh: Arthur’s Seat

by duncanr

Arthur’s Seat is an extinct volcano in the heart of Edinburgh. Generations of my family, going back to mid 19th C lived in one of the streets at the base of Arthur’s Seat and I have happy memories of playing on its slopes as a kid, walking the family dogs there, courting young women on its slopes, and occasionally joining other ‘heathens’ to wash my face in the morning dew on May 1st – http://tinyurl.com/y5krdot3

this vid recording some of the stunning views of the city and the river Forth beyond as the film-maker makes his way to the summit brought some of these memories flooding back
