Oregon Wolf Packs

This is how I determine where I will NOT be hiking. As a woman who travels light and solo I have to be careful of wolves–whether they’re hairy, dangerous beasts stalking me in the night or the four-legged kind.

They spotted four new pups this year close to, but thankfully out of, my hiking jurisdiction. Yeah, yeah, yeah, they’re good for the environment…manage wildlife…deer control…chewing on my leg…scared of humans…ruptured artery…lovely howls in the night…dismemberment…..

I’ll stick to whale watching, thanks.
