Afghan Woman Executed for Adultery

by duncanr

Reuters news agency has been given a video showing an Afghan woman accused of adultery being executed – apparently by the Taliban

As far as I know, it takes two people to commit adultery. If the Taliban view adultery as such a heinous offence it merits punishment by death, can we expect to see another video showing the man she committed adultery with being similarly executed?

I rather think not !

Jail term for adulterers.

by noseycow

South Korean judges over turned an appeal by an actress, charged with adultery. They ruled that an old law, that allowed jail sentences of up to 55 years for those found guilty of adultery, still stands.

Perhaps we should adopt this law in the UK. How many MP’s would still be ‘free’?

Gay couples cannot commit adultery…

because it is technically only possible to commit adultery within a relationship between two people of opposite sexes. Consequently, in same-sex unions, it is not applicable, although it could be described as “unreasonable behaviour”.
