Dr. Who smells like worms

by allthoughtswork

Somebody at the Demeter Fragrance Library has waaaay too much time on their hands. As any gardener worth their salt will tell you, there’s a fine line between “a musty, organic scent that lingers in the air” and ten thousand worm butts. Petrichor, my ass.

Super Heroes

by duncanr

Beth, over at ‘I didn’t have my glasses on’, posted of her disappointment on meeting Spiderman when she was 7 yr old. It reminded me of the time we took our grandkids to meet some super heroes . . .

15th Oct 2006

batmanaccent2300I saw Spiderman in town on Saturday. Along with Batman and Robin, and Superman. The Superheroes were on the 6th Floor of the Library. I know what you’re thinking – another ‘Fathers for Justice’ stunt.

No. These particular Superheroes were part of an ‘Event’ organised by the City Council to encourage children to come along and learn more about the facilities on offer at the library. Explore the Tardis

by duncanr

tardisIf you use Google Maps to navigate to  Earls Court Road, London, you will see a traditional blue Police Box

Click on that Police Box and it is just a police box – nothing special

However, on the road outside the police box there are some white markings on the road, click on the ‘double arrows’ and you will be transported inside the Police Box  – which fans of the BBC TV programme ‘Doctor Who’ will immediately recognize

Iranian Dr Who ?

by duncanr

TimeTravel200An Iranian nutcase claims to have invented a time machine

The Aryayek Time Travelling Machine, as it’s ‘inventor’, 27yr old, Ali “talking through his arse” Razeghi calls it, can predict the events in an individual’s life 5-8 years in the future with 98% accuracy (http://tinyurl.com/c8z84aj)

Now 98% accuracy is quite an impressive statistic, but I have a few questions for Mr Ali “talking gobshite” Razeghi

1. there is a difference between a time travel machine (which allows an individual to personally travel 5-8 years into the future) and a device that . . .
