slob120I recently decided to give myself a bit of a make-over – lose some of that beer belly by cutting down on the wine and dorritos, and exercising a bit more

it took a while but I eventually found an exercise routine online I could do at home and that wasn’t too strenuous

I haven’t actually lost any weight yet but I’ve had hours of fun watching . . .

Dog Ownership and Heart Disease

dog taking man for a walkThe American Heart Association has concluded that pet ownership is correlated with a reduced risk of heart disease and that this effect is most marked in dog owners – http://tinyurl.com/c7494z9

They postulate that this health benefit derives from the companionship pets provide and their stress-relieving properties but argue that dog owners gain a further benefit not available to other pet owners in that they exercise more because of the need to walk their dogs

Well, I know one man who would agree that dog owners exercise more but I’m not too sure he would agree with the stress-reduction hypothesis 😆
