Plant a tree, it works

by allthoughtswork

Start with just one and work your way up to 4 million like Sebastião Salgado and his wife Lélia Deluiz Wanick Salgado did. If they can restore part of the Brazilian rainforest, you can at least improve that ugly back yard.

Trump Climate Change Stance Threatens Wine Production

by duncanr

this is serious, folks!

the man-child currently holding the position of POTUS who thinks climate change is a hoax is entitled to his beliefs – however divorced from reality – but when his actions affect the lives of others, particularly those outwith the USA who never voted for the bugger, it is time to fight back

refusing to believe scientific evidence of global warming and refusing to curb america’s major contribution to that risks me having to pay more for my wine

to put it simply, higher temperature means lower production levels from grape pickers as they become more lethargic in the heat and need to take more breaks to avoid becoming dehydrated – http://tinyurl.com/y9gu6pct

I’m pleading, begging fellow wine drinker’s in the USA to impeach the twat before it’s too late !

(many more days of these rains and floods and Somerset will be independent of the rest of the UK long before Scots have had the chance to vote to be an independent nation once more)

Now on top of all the rain, we have strong winds to contend with. I am fortunate that despite . . .

Miners cause Australian Floods

by duncanr

Pakistan, Philippines, Australia, Shri Lanka, Brazil have all been hit my massive floods in last few months.

The economic cost of repairing the damage caused will run into billions of pounds. The leader of the Green party in Australia proposes that the coal mining industry should pay for that cost in Queensland since it was their activity that caused the floods

His argument is that . . .

Seeing its arctic home melting away, a lone polar bear sets out on a great journey to thank someone who is trying to help.
