following the end of Ramadan – the Islamic holy month of fasting – yesterday evening, Muslims worldwide today celebrate Eid Al-fitr
Eid mubarak to any muslim readers of madhatters – may your life and that of those you hold dear be filled with peace and love
the atrocities committed by muslim terrorists has led to a rise in islamophobia here in the UK – http://tinyurl.com/o2xlm4g – and in other countries
a perception often voiced by those who use the ‘guilt by association’ line of thinking to blame all muslims for the actions of some terrorists is that such violent actions are sanctioned by the Quran – that Islam is an inherently, violent, aggressive religion, in contrast to the gentle, peace-loving religion that is Christianity

while on the subject of snow – see previous post – a Saudi cleric has issued a fatwa banning the building of snowmen – http://tinyurl.com/l35wqb4

if nothing else, it’ll test their belief in a GOD
I would be the first to confess I’m not much of a historian, especially when it comes to English history, but wasn’t there a document of sorts signed by King John way back in ye olden days
and hasn’t this Magna Carta been revered ever since and it’s importance extolled because for the first time it set limits on the power of the King/State – establishing the novel idea that citizens should not be subject to arbitrary arrest and imprisonment without a fair hearing before a jury of their peers
the UK prime minister, David Cameron, keeps banging . . .
time to wheel out these chirpy chappies again
Eid Mubarak to any madhatter readers celebrating Eid !
