Mongoose vs Lions

by duncanr

if I told you a mongoose got into a fight with some lions, who do you think won?

if you answered the mongoose, give yourself a pat on the back – poor bloody lions never stood a chance against the aggressive wee bugger . . .

Barman Eaten by Lions

by duncanr

Ah, lunch !!!

“People who play dangerous games with animals like lions are asking for trouble β€” and he got it.” – so said Police spokeswoman Gerda Swart.

She was speaking after police recovered the remains of 30 yr old barman Jan Friederick Bredenhand from the lion enclosure at a South African Game reserve.

Mr Bredenhand, who had been drinking with friends at a barbie decided he wanted to play with the lions. When he climbed the cage, they grabbed his legs and pulled him down, then ate him alive

Run Rabbit, Run Rabbit, run . . .

by duncanr

There are an estimated 10,000 wild rabbits roaming the streets of Helsinki – causing thousands of euros damage to gardens.

In a bid to control their numbers, the city council has enlisted the help of licensed hunters to cull the rabbits.

They have also negotiated a deal with the local zoo to sell them the rabbits (7 euros each) to feed the zoo’s hungry lions.

Can’t help feeling they missed a trick here. Why not cut out the middlemen? Let the lions loose every night to catch their own rabbits. No need then to hire hunters. Cut out a lot of the administrative work too.

And an added bonus – at a stroke, solve the problem of ‘yoofs’ hanging around the street at night getting up to mischief.
