Children traded for Cockatoo

Donna Greenwell traded a five year old boy and a four year old girl for a pet cockatoo and $175. Although the couple who “bought” the children seemed to be looking after them well authorities were called in because Greenwell had no legal right to hand them over for adoption. Police are looking for their mother who is believed to be somewhere in Texas.

That cancer patients get Free Prescriptions  from the NHS, unless of course they happen to live in Scotland or Wales were EVERYONE already gets them free.

Prescription charges of £7.10 per ITEM, remain the cause of one of the biggest Health Inequalities in the UK.

Some patients automatically get ALL of their prescriptions free of charge, they are children, and those with certain medical conditions (including Diabetes, Thyroid problems and Epilepsy) others can claim if they think they are eligible. Also GP’s have some discretion (but a limited budget) to grant free prescriptions for patients with life long illnesses who apply to their surgery. More information here.
