Greyfriar Bobby’s Nose Job

There’s a statue of a wee dug outside Greyfriars Kirkyard in Edinburgh

150px-Greyfriars-bobby-edinGreyfriars Bobby – as he was/is known to many – was a Skye Terrier.

Walk on By

by duncanr

baby_anthony_liekens_01.svg.hiJohn White paid dearly for being a good Samaritan.

£100 to be exact.

That’s the amount thieves removed from his wallet after he dived into a lake to save a baby from drowning.

To make matters worse, it wasn’t a real baby !!!

John and his wife were walking their dog when a hysterical couple ran up begging for help to save their baby who had been attacked by a swan and was now floating face down in the lake.

John immediately took his coat off and jumped into the lake. When he reached the ‘baby’, however, he found it was a doll.

The ‘distraught parents’, meanwhile were stealing £100 from his jacket pocket. When Mr White scrambled back out of the lake to try and stop them, they squirted a liquid into his face which burnt his eyes and nose.

‘It makes me feel like next time someone asks for help, I should just walk past”, said Mr White
