there’s a lot of stupid/lazy folk in the USA, it seems – and, no, I’m not referring to this guy

I’m referring to the folk who are paying him $10 to write a message on a potato and send it anonymously to someone on their behalf – why not save some money by writing their message on their own potato and sending it anonymously themselves ?

iPad Potato Scam

Police in Batley are anxious to speak to a chubby Irishman who conned a man out of £200

The victim was approached in the street and offered an Ipad for £200. When he handed over the cash, he was given a laptop bag he believed to contain the iPad. When he opened the bag later, however, he found it contained not an iPad but some potatoes.

The Irishman had meanwhile vanished.
