Knocking on Heaven’s Door

postman pata story I read this morning when perusing the web took me back many years in my thoughts to when I played “postman’s knock” with my cousin

I don’t know if kids nowadays play this game but it was very popular when I was a lad

my cousin was a year older than me

we were always close friends and – as the two ‘rebels’ in the family – supported one another when our doings outraged the catholic aunties 😆

anyways, postman’s knock – as played at our family parties during our extended 7 -10 days long celebration of the New Year – involved all the girls going into a bedroom while the boys waited outside
