Hot Prom Girls Get Very Wet

by duncanr

They got all dressed up in their new gowns and no doubt spent a long time on their make-up and getting their hair ‘just right’ so they looked the part for the highlight of their year – their High School Prom Dance.

Someone suggested a group photo with their escorts

Someone else suggested they stand on the wooden pier jutting out over the lake for the photo

It no doubt seemed a good idea at the time but . . .

Traffic Light Fail

by duncanr

Town Planners in West Bend, Wisconsin didn’t quite think this one through.

I guess it seemed like a good idea at the time – replace the current incandescent traffic lights with new LED ones that use less energy (thereby doing their bit for the environment) and with an estimated cost saving of $100 a month at each of the 24 traffic intersections where they were introduced that meant a tidy $28,800 extra cash a year to spend elsewhere.

The flaw in this plan became evident with the first heavy fall of snow. Whereas the traditional incandescent lights generated enough heat to melt the falling snow and prevent it sticking to the lights and their hoods, the LED lights generate very little heat – as a result, the build up of snow on the lights made it difficult for motorists to see them.

The LED light problem has already led to a crash at one intersection. In response, four, two-person crews spent Friday using make-shift scrapers to clear the LED lights of the snow.

Hhmm, presumably this manual clearing of snow from the lights will be repeated as and when needed. So much for that $28,800 a year saving !!!

Drive-by Shooting Fail

by duncanr

donkey_head250Here’s the thing.

Drinking and driving is a big No-No

It’s a ‘bad thing’ – so don’t do it !!!

Why is it bad? Well for a start, alcohol impairs your judgement – as a Wisconsin man knows only too well.

Andrew J. Burwitz, 20, of Appleton, Wis. was pissed off with his ex-girlfriend. What better way to show his displeasure, he thought, than to drive by her house and loose a few shots off with his handgun.

Burwitz, however, had been drinking and forgot to wind the car window down before making his first shot.

a. when police found auto glass on the road they contacted local auto glass repair shops and found Burwitz had his car window replaced

b. Burwitz has been charged with “four counts of first-degree reckless endangerment, four counts of endangering safety by reckless use of a firearm, disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property.”

Hhmm, Andrew J. Burwitz – wonder what his middle name is ? Couldn’t be ‘jackass’, could it ?
