Yellowstone rumblings.

by NobblySan

It is now over a year since Noseycow (anyone remember her?) scribbled a post entitled Rumbles at Yellowstone. It attracted a bit of debate and a few new commenters, and concerned unusual patterns of seismic activity (It’s a long while since I’ve had any activity that involved women seizing Mic….) in Yellowstone park.

There must be something about this topic that grabs people’s attention, as for the past 12 months it has featured on an almost daily basis in the top ten of viewed posts. A quite remarkable feat for a post that does not carry tags related to sex, nudity or beer.

The thing is….. are these random viewings that we’re seeing; or is there an army of seismo-geeks out there, nervously checking the web for signs of the imminent explosion that will wipe half of America off the map?

A new fault in America

by noseycow

Scientists have warned that a newly discovered fault line in Arkansas could lead to a massive earthquake of around 7 on the Richter scale.

Meanwhile California remains attached to the mainland, Alaska has not spilt down the middle , and Yellowstone is quiet… for now

California Shakes

by noseycow

A small earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale jolted San Bernardino in Southern California last night.

It is the lastest in a ‘swarm’ of  over 360 earthquakes to hit the area in the last week. Meanwhile over at Yellowstone all is calm.
